((UPDATE) well I got my new ford racing clutch cable installed today after buying a cheap autozone one that broke in 5 mins (LITERALLY) so far so good! I have a highly modified, supercharged fox n as I previous
Y posted snapped the existing cable, replaced it which broke in 5 mins. I now have the new ford racing cable in, although I have not done a smoke show yet, the cable is working well (DAYN1) my pro 5.0 shifter actually seems to b shifting much cleaner n smoother as well? I'm guessing it was a lil stiff n resistant fealing due to the previous cable being on its way out? Which me luck friends t2yl!!! Strokednfordged.

i have an 01 bullitt with a similar problem and i do have some wear under the dash. do you have the solution to this problem. im on my third cable in 7 months. my new one is a maximum motorsports OEM with fire wall adjuster and new quadrant. this is the first time i'll be trying to use a not OEM ford manufactured part.

The Maximum motorsports clutch cable is the best, it was manufactured for MM by the original Ford vendor. I had a ford racing one for a day and switched to the MM. The pedal effort was reduced with the MM cable.

Yes MM setup all the way. Ive broke countless cables and then went to the MM setup a couple years ago and havent had a single problem since.
