My air bag light on my 91 keeps flashing on and off this just started. I am not sure what this means. I looked in the manual and it only says if it never comes on or if it stays on nothing about it flashing. I searched the forums and could not find anything.

just on and off no sequence?

ya no sequence the flash is about every second or so and continues the entire time im driveing

It could be the clockspring in the steering wheel that's worn out.

Your airbag control module is probably the culprit. If you don't care whether or not the airbag works, you can remove it, thus fixing the light. It's a blue box behind your HVAC controls.

Otherwise you're going to need to go to Ford and have them scan it, if you want to actually fix the issue.

The on and off you are seeing is a code being flashed for you to read.

For example. 3 flashes and a pause followed by 3 flashes is a code 33. Then look up that code.
