Default CFI to Carb (works but with issues)

Couple issues with this conversion i have.
Its running and drivable... need to adjust the kickdown.
But ones of the issues is when I turn the car off it will kinda back fire after driving it a little.
Another issue is kinda weird the car starts after cranking it alittle then stop cranking it.
And the throttle surges a little.

Check the timing, should be around 12-14 at idle and 34-36 total, that's a good starting point. The jets might need changing as well as the idle fuel mixture.

okay let me give all that happened.
replaced the cfi setup with the stuff in the sig
Then engine ran last night went down the street and back. backfired when we turned it off... didn't try to start it again and went to bed. woke up this morning went out and tried to start it and a jet of gas came out of the barrels and the fuel bowl vent. and won't start at all. And thats all it will do. probably every 15 times we try to start the engine it does that.

damn thats what i was afraid of... I got a hei dizzy that is a little big. a hold down clip hits part of the intake manifold, or the heater hose fitting. or the vaccum line hits the alternator.
