Cool Clutch feels too tight.

Hello,

Recently I had my clutch replaced and when I got her back the clutch is very stiff. If I don't push it down very hard sometimes I have issues getting into gear.

How would I go about loosening the clutch cable a little bit?

you have to reach up under the dash and release the adjuster on the quadrant

it looks like this (side view)

rotate the pawl cockwise, and watch your fingers... the quadrant (marked ratchet) will move and loosen the cable

By "tight" do you mean hard to push the pedal down?

Awesome so just slowly adjust the pawl. Thank you very much!

Ok, so you're saying just release the tension using the pawl then just use the method of pulling up on the clutch pedal while in neutral to get it to the wanted feel?

I don't think you want to loosen it if you are having problems getting into gear do you?

I personally don't have the strength, I have arthritis in my knees so at first when I am driving it's fine but once I do try shifting for awhile it starts to be a pain in the ***.
