Default c-4 trans troubles

Just got my car running again with a fresh trans and converter and im having some problems. first is that the trans slips going from 2-3. then when im stoped and hit the gas to go it takes a second to grab then it proceeds to move. but if i stomp on the gas from a stop it just revs up like its in nuetral. if you let off the gas then get back on it easy it moves. just trying to get this thing running right, any info would be great thanks

If its carb then it sounds like the black rubber hose coming from the tranny isn't hooked up. Hell either way thats what it sounds like. If its an EFI motor there is a Black Hose connector that has 4-5 hoses going to it mounted on the driver side fire wall. Hook the tranny hose to the 2nd port from the left facing the motor. Or if its a carb motor you can hook it to the carb. I know my C-4 did the same thing so maybe this will help.

Default c4 transmission

try adjusting your bands, first you need to find out what year transmission it is, 1965-1979 has a corse thread adjusment screw "the front one" and 1980 up has a fine thread, here are the spec's. for your front screw the one close to the pump turn in 120 inch pds and back off 1-1/2 turns, for the fine thread turn in 120 inch pounds and back off 3-1/4 turns,
i would also go ahead and ajust the rear bands to, also turn in 120inch pds back off 2-1/2 turns.
if you dont have a inch pound tq wrench you can use a foot pound wrench and tq to 10-foot pounds,
find out what was done to the trans..,what servo was used, there is a letter on the cover of the front servo it will be ether a H,A,C,Z,B, to small of a servo will cause a spin-up or a 2-3 flare like you have, worse with a v8. find out what year trans it is a whats been done to it if you can.. let me know

Damn c4king, I havn't see you on here in a long time. He knows what hes talking about mike^. Checking your fluid level is the first thing you need to do. Did you buy the trans? Have it rebuilt or what?? Adjusting the bands would prolly be your bet.

c4king, the parts you sent me last year worked great until I busted my bellhousing!

Its the vac line going to the modulator valve on the passenger side of the trans. It wouldn't cause his symptoms though.
