Default Which fan is better..?

I'm on a low budget right now and I have to replace my fan so should I go with the stocker replacement fan or a flexalite fan that needs the spacer? My fox is pretty much stock due to now income coming at the moment. It only has a air intake and a 180 t-stat... As soon as I get another job then I an going ahead and replacing it with some electric fans.

if there are any junkyards i would search there first. cuz now a dayz you can get a mark viii or taurus fan for under 50 bucks. doesn't the stock fan cost about 30 plus shipping? it just makes sense to check the junkyards first.

Thanks.. Im going to the junk yard tomorrow as a matter of fact! Ill see around but if i werent to find one Ive checked my local auto shop and they have them for $20. So what should i go for the stocker or a flexalite if I cant find an electric one? And if I do what years do I look for in the mark viii or the taurus?

no ive got a better one for you go look for a 1995 to 2000 v6 ford contour or a 99 to 02 mercury cougar or mystique these are dual electric fan setups. they say these move 3600 cfm!!! they also are near direct bolt ons

get a stock fan... a taurus or mark VII fan will require some wiring and a alternator upgrade...

I agree with Adder, get a stock and make sure you have a complete fan shroud. I run a stock fan on my car and I have a pretty good mod list, including a blower, which tends to make a car run hot. Lat week on my way into the NMRA event in Joliet I sat for over an hour and the hottest the car ever got was 205*
