i put a 3g 130 amp altanator in my 1990 5.0, but in the instuctions it said i need to put a bigger wire ithink it said a 10g wire, for the two black and orange wires. but i just left the stock wires does any one kno if this is bad or what it seems fine, has any one done the the 3g swap thanks.

The stock wires are the black 10 gage wires. I'm assuming you removed the plastic clip from the two black 10 gage and one white wire harness. Then put ring terminals on the black 10 gage wires and bolted them onto the back of the alternator. The white wire gets a plastic plug soldered/spliced on and plugged into the alternator. The amperage is too much for the two black power wires to carry. If enough ameprage is in demand and these wires are put to the test they can possibly melt/catch fire.
I'm using a 4 gage cable w/ 200 amp in line fuse from PA Performance. It runs around the front of the engine bay and to the rad. Here's a pic, the fuse is mounted where the battery used to be. This is how I did it and if you still have the battery you can easily hide it behind or under it. This is probably going into the fenderwell soon to hide it.
