The silver bracket bolts to the head, 3 bolt holes against the head, only fits one way. The black bracket bolts against the water pump on 2 spots and looks looks like this. Its not the best view but you can see it. The left side of the bracket in your pic faces up.

So the grey bracket goes on the heads and the black bracket goes near the water pump with one of the long bolts going through the black and grey bracket right? so what would be the size of the belt thats needed an is it a 6 rib? Any better pictures that you may have to get a better image of the way it goes?

Sorry I can't get a better pic of it. Look at your pic of the silver bracket. Now rotate it 180 degrees (the bottom part in the pic is the top of the bracket that runs parallel to the valve cover mounting surface). Then rotate the black one 90 degrees to the right and you have the way they are supposed to be setup. As you look at the black bracket how it sits, the top to holes are the ones that go thru the pump.

Why get this kit when you can just take off the compresser and run a shorter belt? o.o

Bc its just not that easy with the a/c compressor chief. You can get away with doing that with the smog pump but if you do it to the a/c your belt will run into your water pump and the tensioner can not do its job.

This is mjr46's motor, just found the pic looking up other stuff.

Here is a diagram for belt lengths.

The 84.5 belt is just for deleting the smog pump and leaving the a/c and p/s where they are at. You need the 73 inch belt with that kit and no smog pump.

Look at that link. I would bet that your setup is on there.
