Default transmission removal

i just have a quick clarification. when removing the transmission do i have to remove the tr from the clutch housing or the clutch housing from the engine. im pretty sure i have to remove the bolts from the clutch housing to the engine. just so you know i have a 5 spd transmission.

Unbolt the bellhousing from the block, there's 2 bolts on each side and 2 at the top.

The dowel pins could be frozen...did you try putting a pry bar in between the block and the bellhousing to coerce it a little?

not yet. i just wanted to ask a couple of questions before i started cranking on the block and bellhousing. better to ask than to break something.

No need to crank, just a little gentle persuasion with the pry bar can help unstick it, if it's gonna go it will go.
