i was told i need a 3/8" spacer on my upper intake to clear my valve covers. my vavle covers are stock vavle cover so is this true. btw i am going from a cober upper/loer to a holley upper/lower

Why not just test-fit it to see if you actually do, then you can measure how much. My intake was hitting my fuel rails, so I just put some washers under it at all 4 corners until it didn't hit anymore, measured the washers, came up to just a touch over 3/8", so bought a 3/8" spacer (as the extra gasket made up for the little over 3/8"). Didn't want to put a spacer on, now my engine was worn a nice grove into my hood

i have a cobra intake and a spacer. i didnt need to put the spacer on for clearance though. my valv covers are standard 302 covers. on a good note the spacer is great. my op temp stays between 180 and 190 while idling in virginia summer heat. while driving it drops to 160 or so.
