door wont open

Default door wont open

today i found out my passenger door wont open u hit the unlock and it wont unlock..i tried opening the handle from the inside and it did nothing..even trying to unlock it with the key from the outside and it wont turn and if i put anymore pressure ill break the key...wut the heck is going on!

Actuator is locked up. You can unhook the rod to unlock it with the key until you get a replacement.

sounds like the actuator is siezed, remove door panel and unhook rod and replace it

The key won't unlock it it won't turn how do I get the door open

Well first you won't be able to get it all the way off probably bc of the dash BUT you can get it off enough to pop the rod off to open the door. Take the caps off your arm rest and unbolt that. Unplug your power switch, if you have manual windows the unscrew the handle and remove it then grab the corner of the panel and pull to start popping the door panel off. Try and be gentle with it though. Its not that hard. It will flex enough to get where you need to get to.

you can remove the arm rest and then pop the side loose and then reach in and undo the rod...it'll be tight but it can be done
