Im getting 3.73 gears installed in my 89 LX and I just had two quick questions for you guys that I need cleared up before I buy all the stuff. Question 1: I think the correct spedo gear for 3.73's is a 21 tooth gear, correct? Question 2: I have found two installation kits, one is $40 and comes with everything minus bearings. The other kit is around $80 and bearings are included. So my question is do you think it is necessary or a good idea to replace the bearings as well?

unless you wanna chance the bearings crapping out and you having to tear it all apart again to do it all over again.

i dont know about you but i really dont like the smell of friction modifier.
