Default Will this mustang pass emissions.

I think I'm going to pick up a 90 lx 5.0 tomorrow. He wants 2500 for it but I don't think its going to pass emissions. Here are the two things he did that would effect the emissions.

-Aftermarket off road x pipe from UPR.(No cats)
-Smog pump eliminator from UPR.
-BBK intake

Do you all think I might pass ?

yea uhh no, without cats and a smog pump its next to impossible to do it. BUT it has been done from what I hear.

it doesnt matter you only need to pass emmisions if it a 96 or newer all u need to pass is safety

In VA it has to be 25 years are older to be exempted.

If I buy a new H-pipe with cats. Do you think it would pass with out the smog pump ?

You need the cats and smog pump. Sorry bud. I just keep all that in a box labeled emissions and it can be put al on in a few minutes.

Just bite the bullet and do it. I know it sucks but if you have that 25 years clause for your state, only a few more years.

i dont think it will because the smog pump is desiged to induce freshair in to the engines exhaust you can smell a difference with and with out on i think if u get the exhaust work down the smog pumps easy all u need is the pump and braket and maby a belt
