stall/skip @ 3-4k rpm???

stall/skip @ 3-4k rpm???
car did it when i got it, so i put H/C/I on and figured it might change things up. but no. runs great but between 3,000 and 4,000 rpms (in gear under a load) is seems like its cuting out. im thinking fuel but i dont have a gauge on the rail yet. check and replaced the tps and set the new @.98 opened @4.62. goin to get a fuel pressure gauge and watch it. just wanted to see if it is a common prob or anyone else has had this recently.
