I noticed that my lx notch has the fog light wiring and plug at the switch. It was plugged into a blank plastic slot in the back of the bogus switch. Can I use this wiring to trigger a cooling fan? Do all fox cars come with the fog light wiring? WHERE does the wiring GO?

Do the fox cars also have the convertible top wiring and plug?

I have a complete dash from a 92 convertible GT, so it has all 4 switches in use, where my lx notch only uses 2/4 (headlights and hazard)


My 331 fox runs hot and came with a 2 fan shroud
1 fan ON/OFF via temp sensor in coolant.
1 fan always off unless AC is on

I want to switch the 2nd fan on demand.

I am thinking of a use for the convertible top switch it is a momentary switch... perhaps a really really loud air horn or something worse ~

i dont see why you couldnt convert it into something else. i know a guy on a local forum used the gt fog light switch as a nitrous arming switch

sweet. I was hoping I could avoid running additional wires about the car, could I use the rest of the fog light harness?

Well you could just wire the a/c fan into the other fan so they kick on together.

i just ordered a gt fog light switch for my lx. i plan on using it for a manual on/off for my electric fan as well. Good luck and let me know how it goes.
