Default Rear end noise?

When I drive, I hear a sound more like the revolutions of my wheels. The faster I drive, the louder it gets. Would this mean my rear wheel bearings need to be replaced?

Could be wheel bearings or it could be the pinion. I wouldn't go for too long on it.

Make sure nothing is rubbing the wheel or driveshaft.

More detail on the noise could help.

Do you have a low speed rumble when you drive slow, like under 20mph?

If there is any vibration it may mean a wheel weight has fallen off. In my truck I know the rear gears are off and they make a whurring sound.

that's a vague description, could be bearin in diff or wheel bearings or a tire issue, have a qualified tech go for a ride with you.

your cheapest route would be to have a tech ride with you.

If it is a whine of the wheel bearing, it is not really anything to worry about...just really annoying
