Default Oil pan

I just broke my oil dipstick tube flush to the block. I want to know what is the easiest way to remove my oil pan and if i do remove it, will i need a new gasket?
thanks

the tube itself barely goes beyond the block, with some skillful hands & a pair of needle nose pliers you could get it out, negating the need to drop the pan.

if you have a two valley pan then i believe you have to lift the engine up to get the oil pan off. i also think you need to change the gasket.

yeah you will most likley need to change the gasket.. You probably should anyways. Its only like 20 bucks or so.. and you could jack your engine off the mounts. or pull it :P

no need to always change the gasket if you have a rubber one piece "reusable gasket".....and as for removing the dip stick if you have to pull the pan...then your not very creative, go get an easy out and a punch and hammer if that doesn't work and a pair of needle nose

The end of the tube that actually penetrates the block is literally less than an inch long. Take a small screw driver, pry it in on the outside of what's left of the tube, bend the tube in on itself, grab it with needle nose pliers, and yank. 2 minutes.
