no reason to lower if you dont want. some upper and lower control arms will make it a new car

i also want to lower the car a little bit to get rid of the large wheel wells......would eibach springs be good enough if i did the shocks and struts and control arms and sway bars....i want it to still be a smooth, not bumpy ride

I'd get gears. For about $500 installed they will really wake up your car. Also, get a timing light and bump up your initial timing from the stock 10 degree to about 14-15 degrees. The car will feel much crisper. You can get under-drive pulleys for about $100. They slow the accessory drive and reduce parasitic loss to free up a few more HP. Also, for headers you can get a pair of Summit brand unequal length shorty headers for $99.95. I bought some for my stock Mustang and for $100 they were worth it. The only problem is you have to bend the stock EGR tube and the #4 plug wire is a pain to fit, but still worth the quick $100. Also, are you manual or auto. If manual I would get a short throw shifter. They stock one is junk. If you are an auto, I would get a transmission cooler and shift kit.

Haven't really heard anything bad about the UPR. I think it's a Steeda knock-off. Apparently, the best one out there is the MGW shifter. I have one, just haven't installed it yet. My two picks would be either the Steeda Tri-Ax or the MGW. I think they are both around $180 too.

what would people recommend for a type of suspension for the car to get rid of the wheel wells and give it a good setup for launches while not being too expensive? and by too expensive i mean like...under 1000 after install
