Question for the good engine builders
I spent a couple hours today disassembling my motor's top end to begin work on a wristpin repair, and I found something that struck me as... slightly odd.
The rockers arms of the cylinder in question were coated with that creamy sludge you see when oil mixes with antifreeze. No other signs of headgasket failure, whatsoever. Radiator drained green, green coolant fell into the cylinders upon head removal, green fell out of water pump, etc..
So... why would the cylinder with a bad wristpin in it have sludged oil on it's rocker arms?
