Default TKO 600 Trouble

Went to the track last night and and the car was having trouble getting into 2nd and 3rd gear the first 2 runs. it wasnt that i missed the shift just didnt want to go into gear. 3rd run it went into 2nd normally and then it wouldnt go into 3rd. while trying to get it in gear it went into overdrive and now is stuck. I can move the shifter and place it in what feels like other gears but it bogs down and won't move. it feels like you are trying to start out in 5th gear. it will roll forward if u start letting the clutch out but feels like something is binding. If you put it in reverse and start letting the clutch out, it doesnt roll forward but it wont roll back but it loads the engine down as you let the clutch out. Sorry this is very confusing to explain. Ill list my issues below to help make it more clear.

1. Car feels as if it is always in 5th gear
2. will start creeping forward if you let the clutch out
3. feels like you are changing gears but with same outcome no matter what gear you put it in
4. Putting it in reverse and slowly letting the clutch out pulls on the motor but doesnt start moving the car back

No grinding or trouble shifting ever before. was granny shifting the whole time, havent power shifted at all. about 2000 miles on tranny

I dont know if anyone has ever experienced this just wanted to check. i know ill have to pull it out and take a look but just getting some opinions before i do. thanks guys

SO YOUR SAYING IT'S stuck in gear??? if so damage is already done so smack the shifter and see if you can break it loose whatever is binding, if not, out must come the tranny and inspect the shift rail and sliders

Does it still have the factory shifter? Mine had the 2 main parts of the factory shifter come loose(they're bolted together) so the shifter would move, but wouldn't grab 3rd sometimes. If the shifter itself isn't messed up then yeah, you've probably damaged something in the shift mechanism.

And yes, how you shift a transmission will have a HUGE impact on how long it lasts.
