i just removed the a/c
yesterday i removed the smog and a/c and i used the ford racing a/c eliminator kit. i just had a question about the belt.. i went out and bought a 71.5" belt, and it fits.. but it seems to be rubbing under the tensioner. any way to adjust the tensioner or to help stop the belt from rubbing?
thanks

Whenever I needed a custom belt that I didn't know the size i would just have someone hold the tensioner to about half way then wrap a string around all of the pulleys(make sure its on the same track). You can just measure it after that or compare the mark on the string, where the two ends meet, to the belt you have and see how much you are off. Might save an extra trip to the parts store.

you could change the routing slightly, thats how i fixed that problem at the advise of a few people on here.
its hard to explain without a picture but i think my belt goes from the alternator to the crank instead of the waterpump?
