97 cobra rear, problems/questions

Default 97 cobra rear, problems/questions
So my fancy new disk rear that i was hoping to install before labor day is bent...so i need a new housing. the guy rebuilding it says one of the caliper mounting brackets is different as well.

Questions are: can i use any 94-99 8.8 housing?
can i use stock GT caliper mounting brackets to mount the Cobra brakes?

not to disagree, but "bending" a rear end requires incredible force. are you sure?

thats what im being told, by the guy whose rebuilding it. In this situation, i trust him, as he has nothing to gain from this.

any housing will work from 94-98, but I'm not sure about the brackets.

IIRC, the brackets are cobra specific... mine say COBRA on them
