KYB is a good all around strut, the mustangs is a little easier than most car when changing the strut since the spring isnt attached to it :P

okay...so as i was looking at it more closely in the daylight....it seemed like the noise was coming from the ball joint...i had this problem with my last car....the ****subishi...and the guy that fixed it ran me about 600 bucks...did i get fooled or is that the going rate to replace a ball joint? i would put some grease into the joint but it does not have a grease fitting....so what should i do now?

Jack the car up in the air then put it on jack stands then take the jack and position it underneath the A-arm and jack it up just until the car barely starts to go up then grab the rim/tire and pull out on the bottom and push in on the top go back and fourth, (you want to see if there is any movement with trying to wobble the wheel in and out) you want to see if there is any slop to it, if there is any slop at all replace the ball joint, if its bad your best bet would be to take your A-arm off go get a new ball joint and take it to a shop to have the new one pressed in that would be a very cheap route.
