Default Cooling fan problem (need help)

I have a 95 Mustang Gt. This is my first time on this site, so I don't know what I'm doing but I NEED help. To make a long story short, my CCRM (constant control relay modual) went bad so I ran wires straight to my battery to get where I needed to go and burt out the fan motor. The CCRM is wicked expensive, so is the fan motor and the relay that plugs into it and looks like it will also need replaced vary soon. I just rebuilt the motor and installed the E303 cam and am dying to get on the road with it. What should I do? I was thinking of using the bad CCRM since the only thing that it's not doing is turning on the fan, and getting an aftermarket fan or 1 from a contour and just using a temp sensor to kick it on and off. My coolant res might not fit with it. I don't know. I'm a freshman at automotive school in Maine. I need help.
