Default Milky/foamy power steering fluid

I recently changed my rack and pinion and now the power steering fluid is a pink milky/foamy fluid. The car also makes a horrid noise when turning.

What's the solution?

change and flush the fluid completely, not just in the reservoir, undo the line then start the car and side to side with the steering wheel. flush until the fluid is clean.

also your pump may be going.

Undo which line? Both lines that are attached to the rack?

Sounds to me like there is air in the system. Just keep turning the wheel back and forth to purge the air from the system.

Yup. This was it. Added a little more ps fluid and rocked it back and forth. Much better.

Thanks.

If it still does it after a while you have a leak somewhere allowing air to enter the system. That happened to me and it felt like I had manual steering again. First pump went out causing my thousands of dollars new front suspension.
