Fiberglass hood install, any help appreciated
Installing a Fiberglass Cobra R hood on my 89 fox and i cant seem to get it to line up correctly and it wont latch... was hoping for some tips on getting this done right...in the meantime im driving around a topless bronco in hurricane season.
I noticed that my new hood doesnt have a set up to use the metel strip that was used to latch/striker the steel hood but instead has it built into the hood...if tht helps at all.
Is there any adjustment in the latch mechanism that is mounted to the car?
Thanks

Line the back of the hood up with the cowl. Since it is welded to the body it is a good starting point. Then adjust your fenders to fit the hood. As far as the metal strip goes you dont need it. It is there to help lift the heavy stock hood.

Since the fender and hood move and the cowl does not use the cowl as a starting point. Adjust the hood and fenders to the cowl.
When you adjust a whole car you adjust the doors doors to the body, fenders to door and cowl, hood to cowl and fenders, and bumper to fenders and hood.
You start will what you can not move and what is believed to be correct and go from there.
