Default Cast GT40 heads....YES or NO?

I got a set of cast GT40 heads for my roller 302 build and has some machine work done that took the valves out to a 1.94 intake and a 1.600 ex. i also have 1.6 roller rockers for them. are these the right heads for me in a street car? i hear a lot of people talking about how they like and dislike the cast heads. but im working on a budget. Any ideas?

So with the larger valves will make them a good performing street head? im going to have them ported as well. will that gain me enough performance to make it worth the money?

depends on what your total investment is or will be in the heads, IMO if it's more than 500.00 bucks I'd rather put the money towards aluminum heads

I got them from a guy for 100 bucks and i spent 75 on the valve work. so i wont be over 500. i kinda want to stay with cast heads to make it kinda a sleeper when i pop the hood.

just the performer intake is from idle to 5500 a better flowing intake would benifit your combo, i have an air gap intake and 1/2 no2 plate and it all fits under the hood with a dual snorkal air cleaner
