Default Rear end Help What Gear?

My current set up is, stock lower end 302 GT40P heads 3 angle valve job, cobra upper and lower intake with 1" spacer, 42lb injectors vortec v1 with 10psi boost and anderson power pipe, F-cam with 1.7 roller rockers, Accufab 70mm throttle body, TKO 500 trans, and 410 gear and my best time was 11.96 at 113mph. I had to shift into 5th gear because I had 100ft left before I went through the trap

I am going to change to a 331 stroker from DSS, GT40X Heads, F-cam with 1.7 roller rockers, same v1 supercharger with 10psi boost and anderson power pipe, 42lb injectors, trick flow track heat upper and lower intake with 3/8" spacer and trick flow 75mm throttlebody, TKO 500 trans, but what gear should I use 355 or 373 with this combo. I should not have to shift into fifth gear .

Please help. I need some input. I am shooting for 10's in the 1/4.

I think 3.55 should net you your results.

let me guess... your going by the stock tach ???

and your right... you shouldn't and don't need to shift into 5th, unless of course your going by the stock crappy tach doesn't work especially at high rpm

Nope I have a Monster tach. The last time i tried to just run it through in fourth gear it was revving way too high.
