Default Holy crap.. Offroad H pipe fumes question

So i just put an offroad h pipe on my 5.0 and holy crap.. The fumes are insane..I went to go to mcdonalds and completely lost my appetite on the way because the fumes were so strong. Now im wondering.. Do Offroad H pipes or x pipes do that? Is that something you gotta deal with after awhile?

yes, the fumes arnt converted into less toxic gases, also leaks make the situation worse

The fumes inside the car are caused by two things.

1) Your pipes aren't properly mated together which results in exhaust leaks under the car, this exhaust then rises up into the passenger cabin.

2) You do not have tailpipes. The tailpipes are there to get that nasty gas BEHIND the car so you do not have to breath it in. Just let the people behind you deal with that, maybe it will prevent people from riding your ***.

No cats here and no fumes with complete tails. Also, maybe you just never could tell that it was running too rich with the cats on?

My car used to do that, then it seemed to have gone away after a while. Might not hurt to have it tuned to see where your at for air/fuel

An offroad pipe meaning no catalytic convertors. There is the answer why you have a gross amount of fumes.

And you are in California? Shame on you.

+1^^ Your gonna have to lift it up and check for leaks. Just feel for air rushing out at the connections and look for black residue from the exhaust gases leaking.
