Hi guys i have a ? about wheel hop.
I have a stock 306 w/exhaust and gears. I have installed a line loc and when to use it, Now if i say rev it up and drop the clutch the rear end hops like a mother ****er sounds like its going to rip out.
But say if i start slow and build up it doesn't do that. Basically i'm wondering y i cant just rev it up and drop it w/out having it wheel hop.

I have lakewood drag shocks front and rear, eibach launch springs in rear and up front. I'm running a 275 drag radial. Also have double adjust uppers and lower control arms for the rear.
Ne thoughts would be appreciated and sry if this is a dumb ?

I would have at least -2.what air pressure are you running in your tires, how old are the shocks. At the drag strip wheel hop is a result of too much suspension seperation (traction) not enough power. If the shock is worn it does not have the ability to control the seperation of the rear end from the body.I see you have adj uppers. You could try shortening the passanger side upper by one or two flats to add some preload,if you feel the shock are good enough.

But before doing all that I would look at the mounting points of th controls to see if any of the holes are slotted check to make sure all hardware is tight.Any bad heim ends(hymans)will also cause it.

suspension is pretty new, well i'd say shocks are 4 years old with maybe 500 k on them. I'm running 25 psi in tires, still haven't checked pinion i will get to that and report, thx for the tips wagontrain.

k dropped the air pressure down to 15 psi. I measured my pinion angle and got +3degrees, Iunno if i measured at the right place though, i measued just under that block that's under the pinion,. Anyways i tried to readjust to bring it to -2 degrees. The most i can get out of it is 0 to +.5 degree. I can't adjust my uppers anymore!! Am i measuring in the wrong spot, or is sumthing wrong here? Any thoughts wagontrain?

Also whats ur guys opinions on rear sway bars? Use them or don't? I currently have mine off and well lets say it blows in the wind
