any wiring gods out there???
just a quick issue im running into getting my project up and runnin... the car is an 83 vert, had the carb'd 3.8 and auto. took that out, put the 306 and t-5 from my 89 in it.now the issue is all the electrical hookups for every thing dont match. is there a main point where i can unplug the entire harness out of both cars and just swap everything, or is this gonna kick my ***?

most connectors have a red lock in them, once removed the individual wires can be taken out of the connector (you'll still have to pry a small tab in most connectors) Some you can repin like that prividing they're the same end design. I've wired quite a few from '84 up; worst case scenario, I've cut the wire off right at the connector & soldered the new wire on.
Don't count on using a wiring diagram out of the books, they're wrong for 90% of the fox's. The only two similar years i've found were 91 & 92... all the rest had minor or major changes in wiring. For every car I wire or rewire I cut the housing that all the cables are wrapped in & trace them; after it all gets finished, i rewrap it. of course you end up with something like this:
It shouldn't really look that horrid. That was my turbo ranger that I wired from scratch to save some weight on the wiring & i ran a standalone with it anyway.
A multimeter is your best friend in the situation you're in if you don't want to unwrap it. Trying to wire without one may result in catching your car on fire. (i personally think they help a lot even with unwrapping the wires)
