95GT sounds cammed out but isn't, any clues???

I have a 95 GT automatic and 6 months ago it started overheating due to a hole in the radiator. I would remove the cap and it would be completely full (thermostat my guess). Then would get an irradic idle / cruise and eventually die and not start unless I floored the gas. This happened twice and then it sounded cammed out. Parked it after that. Does anybody have any suggestions??? Thanks,

possibly vac leak. thats commonly associated with a "cammed" out sound without the cam. makes the car lope real hard.

or it needs a real good tune up my gt sounded just like the cam sound cap rotor plugs and shes back to normal

sounds like a vacuum leak to me but you also said that it would stall out and you couldnt get it running with out putting your foot to the floor that almost sounds like a bad iac. it could be possible that at idle the iac is getting stuck and then opens up and then stuck and then opens up to make it sound like a cammed out car.
