power steering line clamps leaking
My car is an '89 GT 5.0 5-speed...
I have noticed that my power steering is shuddering when I turn the wheel left. I think it's air bubbles in the system... There is some sort of line that runs from the pump to the front of the radiator and back again that looks like it's for cooling the PS fluid, and one of the rubber hoses is soaked in PS fluid. It looks to me like I need to replace a clamp and maybe an o-ring. Has anyone had experience with this line before? What do I need to pick up to replace it? I have a feeling that letting air bleed into the system for too long will blow up my pump.

I've never known Ford to spend any more money on anything that isn't absolutely necessary on any of there vehicles to keep them out of there shops and if I'm wrong PLEASE tell me where I'm wrong?
Once again.. Need possibly!
Useless... Probably!

i have some spare 3/8" clamps sitting around, but i don't have any spare hose and i'd rather not cut what's there... i deem it easier to just replace the clamps than delete the loop (although it does look pretty dumb. the P/S lines don't get very hot, though... maybe it helps...)
anyway, do i need to be aware of anything while replacing these clamps? no teflon o-rings or anything like in the high pressure lines?
