Default Fuel pump problems?

I was having problems with my fox having the fuel pump on in the on position, but it doesnt just prime it just keeps running until the car is turned on. I replaced my fuel pump relay but that didnt change anything. So I was wondering what is the problem?

I'm interested if there's a relay in the trunk as well - my '89 starts great when "cold" and runs like a top, but when trying to restart after driving a while it will crank and crank AND crank without ever starting (battery, solenoid and starter are good). After a period of time (presumably long enough to cool down) it'll start again on first try. I've replaced coil, TFI module, fuel filter, and under seat fuel pump relay, but problem occurred again yesterday. Am getting frustrated! Good thing I have a second vehicle to drive. Other suggestions are welcome!
