Default two questions after 5 lug conversion

first off i put 03 cobra brakes up front and the stock sn95 in the rear

1. I read on another forum that i need to cut the paw off the e brake handle in order for the brake to sit flush again. is this true? the red circle in the pic

2. the right rear caliper doesn't hold when the left one does. i only tightened the cable once, and i know people say you have to do it twice. so when i pull the handle all the way up i walk back and try to spin the tires cuz there still in the air. the left one doesn't spin while the right one does. Which i wonder why that is if the posi is still good?

A mechanic friend told me to unscrew the caliper one turn and try again. I'm just wondering if i should tighten the cable at the equalizer more, but it seems they should equally tighten the brakes no matter how far you tighten the cable at the equalizer.

thanks.

the ruber oval guides aren't exactly equal. the left cable is about an inch from rubbing when the cable makes its turn down the driveshaft valley while the right cable touches the the valley as the cable turns.

here is the right bracket.

the pin wasn't all the way in on the right one but i pushed it in and it didn't change anything

here is the left one

I'm not sure how to convert it manual adjust or non adjusting, the 79-86 cars didn't come with a self adjusting handle. I know there's places out there that will take your handle and convert it. I'm not sure if this is possible but maybe you can put a 79-86 handle in your car, but I think the 87-93 handles are offset and not centered on the tunnel like the pre 86?
