installing hood pins
#2
Mount them where the little rubber snubbers used to go, behind the headlights. Then put something on either the pins or the hood that'll give you a mark to drill. I put sillyputty on my hood and lowered it onto the pins, got my mark, then ceter punched it and drilled it. Came out good.

Those Ford Racing ones are very good. Yup just put the posts in place of the hood stoppers.
I used bearing grease on the tops of the posts and closed the hood gently on them to mark the area.
Then I used a cone type drill bit I bought from Home Depot to drill the holes for the posts.
I couldn't use the bottoms on the covers on my hood,so I just used the chrome tops and screwed them in.
