fuel pump issues

Default fuel pump issues

i started up my 90 gt one morning then decided to change the solenoid and now i cant hear the whine of the fuel pump when i turn the key and it won't start. i cant seem to figure it out because all i did was change the solenoid and i even tried the old one again and it does the same thing. please help.

changed the fuel pump relay and eec relay is also good i dont know what to do next i guess drop the tank and change the fuel pump

Did you leave off or break a fusible link when changing the solenoid? Double check the area for a loose wire laying around.

you most likely have the fp power wire for the fuel pumpm on the wrong side of the selonoid

no loose wires and i put everything on the way i took it off the old one im at a loss guys if you have any other ideas it would be greatly appreciated

ps. i use to hear that loud whining sound when i turned the key on and now i don't hear that but i hear a much weaker sound

saturday after slamming my hatch to hard it had dislodged the inertia switch/fuel cutoff button. after i pressed it in again it worked again

replaced it like i said im at a loss guys i can't see what just changing the solenoid could do
