Its exactly what he said, check to see if it has spun. It only has a little bit of rubber between two pieces of metal so if that rubber deteriorates or something it can spin on itself. This will throw off the balance of the motor causing vibrations.
Bring the motor up to top dead center on the compression stroke and see where your timing marker is pointing at. Should be close to what your timing is set at.
