Default Intake manifold problems HELP!

you can use carbcleaner around the intake. but it is a mass air issue, any time you do anything on a speeddensity car it reacts weird.
you can go to jumk yard and take a parts of a donor car
i did that all i need now is the 4 wire harness that conncets to computer and massair. it runs about 60 bucks.
remember your going ot need the a9p computer if you have an auto. or the a9l if you have a stick.<edited><editID>ohsoquik02</editID><editDate>37944.9625347222</editDate></edited>

Default Intake manifold problems HELP!

no love for the a9m?

Why would an intake manifold screw with the mixture that bad? It just allows more air to flow, not like a stroker kit or cam or something that'll force a major change in volume. It shouldn't impact it any more than a set of headers.

i see your point of view. and without quoting the words from the 5.0 bible. ill just sum it up. the speed density will only read a certain amout of airflow. yes this seems funny but true. since a mass air car has a sensor to recalibate to for different stuff. a speed density has a preset. thus not being able compersate the changes.if you put more air in the sd cars then how does it know to get more fuel or vice a versa. its not setup to make those changes. you can always get it tweaked but the apm costs to much. since everytime you do something youll need to get tweakd again. thus the a9l,a9p cars can adjust themselves.

you should have a a9l or a9p since you have mass air
86 thru 88 had SD
88[cali]thru 93 had mass air
