Default 1994 mustang GT 5.0L HO V8 NEED HELP!!!

i have a coolant leak coming from the gasket between the plate and the block, behind the water pump...i removed my water pump, and when i went to remove the plate, it looks like the plate is not a piece by itself, but in order to remove it, ill have to remove alot more than i was willing to...i really didnt want to have to remove my harmonic balancer, but it looks like i might have to...it was getting dark out, and i couldnt really tell, does anybody have any information...it doesnt seem likely that they would make it so difficult to get to the gasket between the plate and the block...PLEASE HELP

you need to remove your crank pulley, harmonic balancer AND unbolt the first 4 bolts on both sides of the oil pan.

plan on doing a oil change when you're done

Well at least I'm not the only one to have suffered a leak there as well.

I loaded up on Lucas while I procrastinated and told my self I had more important things to do...... In the end I probably should have just torn it apart and fixed it when I first noticed it. Sure would have been easier to clean up rather than the extra 5k miles of leaking oil that piled up on the underside of the car....
