Default replacing enlink bushings

i need to replace the endlink bushings. how hard are they to replace? are any special tools needed? and if all goes bad can i drive it to a shop w/o the sway bar and endlinks on?

Its not hard but alot of the time they can be rusted and not want to come apart. It takes either two 9/16 or two 1/2 inch wrenches. You might want to get the whole endlink kit, not just the bushings. The can be wore down where it bolts to the control arm and break. You will be fine driving without them if you can't do it. Just a little more body roll in the front.

If you can change your oil, you can swap out the endlink bushings.

having done thousands of these, i'll tell you that you might end up needing cutting tools to get the old ones out.

when I did mine, I didnt even bother trying to unbolt them.. I just took a sawzall to them.

i used an impact to take mine off.i usually just tighten them up and break them off.

Hmm. Mine just unbolted fine. Thank god for a southern car. Ive not come across one rusted bolt on that car (havent messed with the water pump though).
