Keyless enty trunk issue
hey i got a 90 gt and i wired up a keyless entry. I am having problems understanding how to wire up the keyless to the truck switch. The signal the keyless puts out is a constant ground and when the button is pressed the keyless takes away the ground. How could this cause a trunk to pop i have not idea. and i have looked into changing the signal from the keyless but i cannot.
Thanks

Got the keyless at a local car audio place for 50 bucks. Foxes have a different type lock system than most cars so there is a double rely sytem that is needed as well.. Installed it myself after lots of choice words and a few hours. It works great and had honk and flashing light features. yes i am lazy as it is cold and i want the trunk poped before i get to my car because it is cold as hell here.

the output on keyless entry is made to work with a number of different wiring systems. It uses the neg trigger because that is the easiest way to trigger a relay, and with a few different relays you can wire into 95% of the systems.
If you get a standard relay, connect your negative trigger wire to terminal 85 on the relay. Connect terminal 86, as well as termanal 30 to a +12v constant trigger and be sure to fuse this wire with a 10A fuse. Now all you need to do is to connect terminal 87 to your trunk switch and yer done.

you need to use a relay, naturally closed, when it removes ground to the relay, it will close the circuit that you have run through the 30 and 87a pins, and pop the trunk, when it releases, the ground will be put back onto the relay, re-opening the circuit, and removing the ground from the popper!
