1.) I found a rather cheap A9S. Do you guys think this is ok for my set-up??
2.) Is it true that you get better acceleration and response with a California computer, as well as lowered emissions, and someone told me it takes away the rev limiter??

thanks in advance.
I find it kind of hard to believe that a California model would be better than the rest.

APL?

I have a 90' Mustang gt, converted from AOD to a T5.
I still have the Automatic/computer in my car.

Which computers will work in mine?
During a debate regarding setting the TPS you claimed to be the expert on ecu's.....
Now you don't know the differences between the most common ecu options.
Good luck on ebay, your car is going to need it.

And just to be a nice guy, I'll answer...
You want a 5.0 HO ecu (avoid non-HO's)
Manual vs Auto won't really matter.
The X3Z will require either a custom chip or MAF/injector swap (may be a good option if you are going to 24's anyway).

Good luck,

((You still never got over that debate? That discussion was more about whether or not it matters what your TPS was set at, not about what ECU I should use as a replacement. What ECU is in the car, is already in it...These are separate topics, but I'd kindly ask that you just take your baggage/nay-saying somewhere else.))

I bought an 8LD for dirt cheap, its the CA model though, but I'm just trying to figure out if I even need a new ECU right now. So, that's my only option for the time being. It's funny, because a year ago I sold about 3 computers, and it would have been nice to still have them laying around.

What are the very specific differences with CA ECU's?

THE CYCLE OF THE EGR FUNCTION IS A LITTLE LONGER ON THE 8LD

8LD computers have an identical tune and strategy, as the A9L for example, except for the ignition curve.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
