AOD 2-3 Accumulator Snap Ring

I have a 93 mustang AOD that I got from the junkyard. I am in the process of rebuilding it. When I went to take out the 2-3 accumulator there was no Snap ring. I think there should be a snap ring on there but do not know.

I think there should be one there. I know there is one on the intermediate sprag, is that the same as 2-3? Anyway at high rpm they can break or come lose and fly off. If you replace them get locking snap rings. I bought some recently for a rebuild at transmissioncenter.net.
