yup. I suggest getting a electrical unit. The gauge should come with the sending unit(thats the sensor part) wire guage and instructions.

im a gearhead, but electrical stuff is not my cup of tea....this may sound odd, but what are the advantages of electrical over mechanical guages?? im leaning towards an electrical gauge, but i dont know what would be the differences between both..

The electricals are a piece of cake. Just put the sending unit(sensor) in the untake And the the 1 wire that goes to the back of the gauge goes on top of the sending unit with a nut thats provided.

The diffrences is on the mechanical you actually have a line that send water to were ever the gauge is located. So if it ever gets pinched or melted it spays wate every were and is a mess to clean, just better hope it dont pop at the gauge.
