Default quad shocks

What Is the point of the quad shocks. I am trying to price out all the stuff needed for my suspension. If I plan on installing adjustable strange shocks and struts, rear upper and lower control arms, lowering springs, the k member, new sway bars, and subframe connectors, Do I need to buy new quads or can i just remove them? Also, why would you need adjustable upper control arms and adjustable lowers? my last and final question is why is it that some of the say bar kits out there will not fit my convertible? thank you all for your help with my project.

In a nutshell. Our 4 bar triangulated rear suspension goes into a bind as it runs through it's travel. To correct this the used huge rubber suspension bushings to allow for some movement.

This movement was controlled with an extra set of horizontally placed shocks.

This is more to it but it's time for me to sign off.

I removed mine when I installed my new shocks,upper/lower control arms and springs. Haven't had any wheel hop issues.

The adjustable control arms are there for pinion angle adjustment, preload the angle for a better launch

Basically if you get after market lower control arms then you can usually remove the quads with no problems.
