I use a 125 dry shot Dynotune
I have the 255 pump(no overheating issues LOL) ford techs...lol
19 # inj.
I bump the fuel pressure to 65
distr. is on 8 degrees
I ad 23 degrees timing to the advance (epec tuner)
so 31 total degrees
93-94 octane gas
the only other option i have is i put the air/fuel ratio on 11.5 (epec tuner)
and my motor is not stock it runs 13.40s without the N.O.S
I have been running this for 3 years. same motor.

my buddy has a ford lighting truck with the zex kit same as you
his truck is all stock with the 19 pounders.
he runs the 125 shot on 14 degrees timing and he has no problems lol
93-94 octane gas
and when i say he runs it he used about 20 bottles in about 2 months lol

so with you on 8 degrees and the 190 pump i think you will be more than fine!!!
just my 2 cents.

ttgreen, that's good to hear. everything i have read would lead me to belive you would be in detonation territory!!but that is not the case which is good. i'm going to run a few times with the set up i mention before (except having 24 lb inj).i have to get a maf and set her up.still have snow here but i want to run it hard first day out.i guess i'll just have to bring a spark plug socket with me and pull them often.at least i now know i have room to play with it .

going strait for the 125 shot huh

if i were you i would start with a 75 shot check plugs. Run that for awhile and then move up.
just my 2 cents.

either way its going to be a fun ride!

190 isn't too small at all 190's and 19's will support about 325-350 hp, go to 24's and your good to about 400 as long as it all works good (properly that is)

i would also use stock plugs not colder, and as stated gap them about .040-.042"

on 80 jets i use 89 octane, 14* timing and stock plugs gapped at .042"

thats as long as it isn't warmer than about 75 or 80* then i start knocking out timing or adding octane but it has to be HOT to do both

worst case scenario for me i use 12* timing and 92 octane... thats if it's really hot

that dry kit will bump FP to about 80 psi when your on the hose.... thats why it tees into the fp reg vac line

and +1, i like mallory coils better than msd

all in all your fine though

that's all good news!!i'm pretty much going to run this set up for while and wait till the engine goes and then upgrade everything later but that answers allot of my questions.i have the 24 lb inj and the process of maf shopping (see gen discussion).will leave the stock plugs ,close gap to 042.play with the timing and check plugs.and starting at 75 shot is not a bad idea!!

only reason i'm +1 on this is that you might notice a -1 second et cut on 75 jets.... but only -1.25 on 125's

not saying you will... but guage the "real" gain vs the nitrous consumption

the 1st 75 hp is always the biggest bang by far
