Default 351 in a pasture ???

ive got a buddy who has some land well in short he has a 351 sitting out in the middle of his pasture he says it was running when it was pulled out its complete but im not really interested in anything but the block as im going to bore and stroke it to a 392 but im wondering if it willl still be good he says it has been sitting for a good while can a machine shop clean it up to where i can use it??

Worst that will happen is it needs to be bored out cause of pits on the walls but its doable.I doubt its a roller motor thou

can i get the numbers off of it to find out if it is or not or what will be the easiest way to find out and if it isnt a roller motor is it not worth building?

Get the block casting numbers and do a google search for ford casting numbers, you'll pull up a few sites that can help you identify exactly what that engine is.

Non-roller block can be converted with a Crane conversion kit...
