Default water leaking inside cabin

For some reason during long rain sessions and warm days when snow on top of my car (1992 gt) melts, I will have a leak inside my cabin. If you run your hand of the a pillar and when it splits it has where two pieces of black plastic meet that hold up the headliner. Well water seems to drip from those two pieces and I am trying to figure out how it gets in there. Thanks.

Have you had the windshield replaced? Pull those trim pieces off and trace the leak. If you have a sunroof, your drain may be plugged. Shoot some compressed air into it.

Windshield has not been replaced. And the sunroof seems like its kinda far from the leak to be the problem unless it is all connected somehow through the roof. But i will check this drain you speak of if you can tell me where it is. thanks guys.

p.s. it is a pos.

Remove the sunroof. Look in the corners of the well and you will see a hole. This is the drain.

Since you have not had it replaced, my theory of a bad install goes out the window. That said, your car is getting old and you may have a simple gasket failure which can be fixed by removing the windshield and re-installing it with new goop. Oh, yeah, goop is the technical term.

just for my own curiosity, where do these drains lead to? seems like a il compressed air wont do anything if there is a clog further down.

This may not be very helpful but I have the same problem. I have checked all my sunroof drain holes and they are all clear. They drain to the bottom of the car..I have poured water all over the place and I cannot find the problem. It doesnt happen everytime it rains either and I can't seem to find where its coming from..I am thinking the door seal? Good luck, finding where water is coming from can sure be a pain, but you are not alone!
