The type of metal does not determine the speed at which it will turn. They are functionally the same. Steel rusts, aluminum corrodes (if not properly protected with paint or anodizing). Be aware that with your alternator spinning slower, you may be in a discharge situation at idle with your lights and heat/a.c running.
yeah with my subs it dims cause of the under drive pulleys
